Samurairabbitsfeet.com
is Aikido, Art and Media. Here you can find a Kokikai Aikido class that
is just right for, become active in the local media or find a piece of
art that you connect with. Kokikai Aikido is a world wide organization with member schools here locally in the Puget Sound,
around the west coast and the country. "Aikido is for the world", said
O'Sensei when he created it, so it our mission to continue his vision.
Kokikai Aikido is not just your average aikido. It is the most natural
and powerful form of the art that I have seen. Kokikai's founder Shuji
Maruyama Sensei believes that an effective system is one that is
relaxed, producing minimal effort for maximum effect. The Samurai
were known for their fierce fighting skills and strict code of ethics.
However, they were also known to be quite literate and extremely
artistic. Seeing the art in nature, life, combat and even death they
realized the art of being. At Samurairabbitsfeet art by the instructors
and students will be shown and sold to benefit the Dojo and that of the
artists in the Radiant Light Dojo community. So please tour the art
pages and pick up something you like. In our modern times the
ideals of the Samurai may seen outmoded but one thing was for sure they
were master strategist. They believed that as much information of their
opponent or adversary that they could gather would be the key to
victory in combat. Consequently in many cases knowledge and diplomacy
was a much stronger force for keeping peace and preventing wars. With
books, newspapers, television and the internet we are inundated, the
media is our source of information on many aspects of daily life.
However, increasingly the perspective of the public media is being
narrowed to a few constrictive view points. The only way to have a
better vantage is to have a wide range of views and to participate in
the media giving you some control. As the late Utah Phillips a folk
musician and peace activist once said, "become the media". He is not
alone and the sentiment has been echoed through the Indy media
underground. Samurairabbitsfeet invites you to help create, educate and
present media for our communities that will produce fundamental social
change or at least make you laugh and think. Here you will find some of
the resources to do just that.
